Many thoughts this morning…

There may be nothing better than waking up with the morning sun feeling fully rested and ready for a fresh start to a bright new day.

This morning’s news includes a story regarding the obstructionist Republicans in the Senate have issued a warning to all major professional sports in America. Do not work with the government in educating the public about the Affordable Care Act. (Obamacare to some)

Nothing the obstructionist Republican Party fears more than an educated public.

Protests continue in Egypt, with hundreds of thousands occupying the streets of many cities asking for removal of President Mohamed Mursi.

This makes the number of countries that have recently had to clamp down on their citizens grow to about 14.

Here is a link with photos of the clamp downs.

And locally the fireworks continue their disruption on a nightly basis. I had posted a tongue in cheek comment about this on my facebook page.  In the comment I had suggested talking quietly to your dog and telling him to vote Democratic next election.  This post caused some in the state to look into the possibility of passing a new law restricting the rights of dogs to vote.  😉

Enjoy !

  1. Let’s hope the GOP splits. That new ‘Freedom Party’ could be the best thing for US politics in generations…. get the nutters out and into their own circus tent.
