All we ever hear from congress and to some extent the MSM is cut the entitlements, cut the entitlements.
The major cause of our country’s deficit is the tax cuts implemented by Regan and Bush.
The top percentages of earners are paying the lowest taxes th
ey have paid in the last 30-40 years and their personal wealth continues to grow in leaps and bounds.
We have Wall Street wheeler dealers paying a paltry 15 percent taxes on multi-million dollar incomes.
Corporate profits are at an all time high and when inflation is taken in to account wages for the middle class have been stagnant for the past 30-40 years.
Corporate tax rates are the lowest they have been in 50 years!
Working people’s incomes have remained stagnant at best, decreased at worst. A pound of ground beef cost about $1.60 in 2000 it now costs about $3.00 almost double, has your income almost doubled in that time frame?
The large number of people in their late 40s and early 50s that have expressed concern regarding getting Social Security when they retire is shocking.
Even more shocking is the fact that many of these people continue to support the very candidates that are trying to end Social Security.
Austerity you say? How’s that austerity thing working out in Greece and other European countries?
Last I heard the people were still raising hell all around the world.
Come on people let us all join together and spread the word. Stop all that bs about entitlement cuts.
Tax the rich their fair share, eliminate corporate loopholes and get our country back on track to prosperity for all!
And tell your elected officials this is what you want them to do!
We have to get back to having a government of, for and by the people!
There I feel better now. Think I will take a nap 😉
